Younger team has half a century of Ford experience
A younger team with a long, shared experience of Ford cars and vans is now the public face of Hine Motors in Shaftesbury.
Both sales controller Mark Grant and workshop controller Steve Smith have been with the brand since starting their motor industry careers in the 1990s.
Mark originally worked with Yeovil Ford before a series of promotions took him to a senior position at the company’s flagship Poole dealership but he missed the direct contact with the public.
“You can’t displace people who have succeeded you so I have come back round to the sales controller role at Hine Motors, supported by Matt Harmer, who has enjoyed a 10 year sales career with Foray Motor Group.
“Steve joined the company when Foray took over another Ford dealership and has now moved to Shaftesbury, where his understudy in service reception is Gemma Andrews, a familiar face to customers for the last four years.
“Between us we have more than half a century of working with Ford via companies that have joined the Foray Motor Group family. I suppose it risks making us feel quite old but in fact we’re all still young and very driven by the Ford product range, which has a very broad capability and an impressive new starter model in the Ka+.
“Hine Motors is a brilliant place to work, with many loyal customers and a growing number of new ones who appreciate having one of the world’s best-known car brands on their doorstep.”
