Van Security Campaign Targets Fleet Managers
Mul-T-Lock, a worldwide leader in the field of security products, is urging van owners to update their security knowledge and practices in the face of increasing van theft in the UK. Their new campaign, “Lock Up Your Van”, aims to educate van owners and drivers about simple security precautions that can protect both their vehicles and their vans’ contents.
The campaign has been launched as a response to recent news showing that more than 225,000 vans are the object of crime in the United Kingdom per year, with many of those being targeted having been either unlocked or left running but unattended.
According to Steve Ross, managing director at Mul-T-Lock, “The statistics speak for themselves when it comes to van crime and will only increase with time and continue to have devastating affects. Whether a sole trader, small or large fleet operator, the potential for loss of livelihood and significant cost implications is extremely significant. Mul-T-Lock has carefully constructed this campaign to provide all the necessary information in visual, written and film format to enable van owners to be proactive and benefit from easy to install security solutions that will not impact on any sign leverage or overall aesthetics.”
The campaign focuses on the use of the company’s Arma D Lock, an all-in-one device that is specifically designed for use in vans. It provides not only security but also a visual deterrent without worry of damaging paint. Ross says, “ArmaDLock is the first in a series of product launches designed specifically for vehicles to offer the ultimate security. Our aim is to offer complete all-encompassing solutions that are easy to install, maintain and operate. At the same time, we want to continue to educate our audience and work with our locksmith partners across the UK and Ireland to raise awareness of issues around vehicle crime.”
