Upgrades made to Ford S-MAX, Galaxy and Mondeo models
The Ford S-MAX, Mondeo and Galaxy models have all benefitted from a number of upgrades and now boast improved fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions to help reduce running costs.
The new four, five-door and wagon Mondeo models, the S-MAX sports activity models, and the Galaxy people mover models, which can be found at Ford car and van dealers in Yeovil in Somerset, now benefit from engine upgrades that have seen fuel efficiency and CO2 improvements of up to 7 per cent.
The upgrades haven’t stopped there as the new Ford S-MAX, Galaxy and Mondeo models are now available to buy with the SYNC 3 entertainment and communication system.
The new system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and will later this year be introduced to the new Ford Edge SUV.
Drivers of the Ford S-MAX, Galaxy and Mondeo models will also be able to use the keyless entry technology. This automatically activates and deactivates the central locking system in the presence of the key fob.
Speaking to the Ford Motor Company Media Center about the different upgrades, Ford’s Roelant de Waard, vice president for marketing, sales and service for Ford of Europe, said, “A combination of powerful turbocharged performance, great fuel efficiency and an effortless driving experience has made our 2.0-litre TDCi PowerShift powertrain popular with customers who now benefit from even lower running costs.
“With SYNC 3 drivers can seamlessly integrate their smartphones into the car to make calls, reply to text messages and safely use their favourite apps on the move using simple voice commands.”
Now the SYNC 3 system in the S-MAX, Mondeo and Galaxy models offer drivers simplified commands so drivers can locate nearby cafes by saying “I need a coffee” or petrol stations by saying “I need petrol”.
