The UK’s car registrations continue to rise
Last month (July) car registration figures once again gave the UK motoring industry good news, with registration numbers continuing to improve.
During July the number of new car registrations increased by 9.3% bringing the total number to 143,884. The monthly figures were the fifth consecutive monthly gains, with the 9.3% rise being the highest of 2012 so far.
This year registrations have risen by more than 40,000 vehicle units over the first seven months. Increases in all fuel types were seen, with even alternative powered vehicle registrations increasing by 45.9% during June.
