THE SUN TAKES NEW TRANSIT ON 1,200 MILE TEST DRIVE
A motoring journalist from The Sun newspaper has put the latest version of the legendary Ford Transit van through its paces on a 1,200-mile round trip to see whether it matches up with its predecessors, and the answer was a resounding ‘yes'.
Ken Gibson, the paper's Motoring Editor, took the Transit on an exclusive journey from the manufacturer's Dagenham plant all the way to Inverness in Scotland and back again, and concluded his article by saying that he was in no doubt this model was the new ‘superstar' of the commercial vehicle world.
In the piece documenting his gruelling trip, Gibson noted that Ford Transit vans have been an integral part of the lives of tradesmen and women all over the UK for nearly fifty years now, and that the 2012 model is more stylish, comfortable, high tech, economical, ecological and, most importantly, functional and reliable than any previous incarnation.
The most popular of available vans in Dorset and beyond, this feature shows how the Transit is every bit as impressive and groundbreaking today as it has ever been.
