NEW ONLINE TOOL TO HELP OPERATORS DURING LONDON 2012 OLYMPICS

Good news for van drivers and freight operators, as Transport for London (TfL) has just launched a new interactive online tool, which has been designed to help logistics and freight firms plan their journeys during the London 2012 Games. The new planner, which has been developed for TFL by the PIE Mapping Company, includes information about the Olympic and Paralympic Route Networks and shows the closest legal stopping points to the driver's destination.
From July there will be live data fed into the planner application every five minutes, thus ensuring it provides new routeing options based on the latest information on road traffic incidents, temporary road closures, congestion levels and any other road restrictions, sure to prove invaluable information to van drivers and freight operators.
So if you drive a used Ford Transit van or are looking at the new range new Ford vans for your preferred delivery vehicle, this new interactive online tool is sure to be a welcome source of information.
