Microsoft enlists help of Xbox fans to build Ford supercar
Microsoft recently enlisted the help of thousands of X-box fans to help design a Ford GT40 supercar from Forza Motorsport 4 and then they built it.
Around 13,000 fans took part through various gaming websites where they had the chance to vote on various specs for the car including brakes, shock absorbers and the wheels.
A team of mechanics were then commissioned to build the Forza Ford GT40 live in front of fans and the public over a 6 day period.
One lucky voter that took part in the process won the keys to the Ford supercar that he helped to design.
The campaign was to help promote the Microsoft Xbox racing game Forza Motorsport 4 and judging by the participation and coverage, the campaign worked.
