ILLEGAL DIESEL LAUNDERING PLANTS ARE BEING CLAMPED DOWN ON BY THE HMRC

This month has seen two more illegal diesel laundering plants shut down by the UK HMRC and the police service in Northern Ireland. Both of these plants were situated in County Armagh and have been producing more than 15 million litres of illicit fuel annually.
The special investigation saw officers from both HMRC and the Police Service of Northern Ireland raid a private property in Cullyhanna, where they found a plant hidden in a large shed on the property. Another operation found a similar set up at another private address in Middletown. Both of these illegal diesel laundering plants have been closed down.
The HMRC has been involved in dismantling 27 diesel laundering plants throughout Northern Ireland during the last 12 months.
Using illegally is produced fuel is not only against the law, but could also have a negative effect on the manufacturer's warranty for new vehicles, like new Ford vans. Be sure to only purchase fuel for your Ford Transit van from the usual reputable suppliers and only use recommended fuel types laid out by the manufacturer of your vehicle.
