Full details of new Ford Mondeo released

With the Ford motor Company's ‘Go Further' event in full swing in Amsterdam, more and more details are being released regarding new Ford cars for sale.

Even though images have already been released regarding the new Ford Mondeo, Ford has now released its full specifications and, judging by the list, it was certainly worth the wait.

The Mondeo will be the first ever family car to be powered by a small 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, putting it ahead of the rest on fuel consumption when it becomes available from Ford car dealers across the country in autumn 2013. The engine at the heart of the Mondeo will be the 123bhp three cylinder EcoBoost, which Ford have claimed will produce 130g/km of carbon.

The Mondeo has undergone several changes including its rear suspension: the previous design has moved to an ‘integral link' design, replacing the current model's unequal layout. The Ford Mondeo 2013 has also switched over to electric power steering; not only have ford commented that this will save on fuel, but also that it will add an extra edge of ride comfort.

You can expect the new Ford Mondeo to be available at Ford car dealers across the country late in 2013, with the estate model expected early in 2014.
