FORD TRANSIT CONNECT VANS HELP CITY GET GREENER

The Ford Transit connect has undergone plenty of conversions over the past few years, one of the largest being its introduction to the American market as an option for taxi drivers.
The Connect Transit van is being used a lot by one of America's largest cities, San Francisco, which is aiming to be the ‘Greenest Taxi City in America'. The converted Ford vehicles have been helping to bring down the amount of emissions within the city, which since 2008 has seen taxis reduce fuel use by 2.9 million gallons per year and also lowered greenhouse gas emissions by 35,000 tons.
Currently, San Francisco's taxi fleet is made up of 67% Ford Transit Connect vehicles, powered by either CNG (compressed natural gas) or LPG (Liquefied propane gas). This certainly shows how popular the new ford vans are.
