Ford Tops the List of Most Reliable Van

Fleet News has announced the results of its annual survey on van reliability, and once again the top spot for both an individual vehicle and for most reliable manufacturer went to Ford.

Each year the esteemed publication and website requests that the top 50 fleet companies rank individual vans and manufacturers on a variety of categories. In the FN50 van reliability survey, which asks questions about breakdowns and the need to file warranty claims, Ford’s Transit was voted the most reliable van. The vehicle retained the top spot after having won it last year as well. Similarly, the Transit’s manufacturer also retained its top spot as the most reliable van manufacturer.

The Transit has undergone significant changes in the last year, yet despite that it held on to its position, which is seen as testament to its overall appeal. The Transit Connect, a smaller vehicle, was ranked third in the survey.

As Ford continues to introduce new lines, including the Transit Custom, the Transit Connect and the Transit Courier it is expected that fleet operators will continue to think highly of the brand. According to Ford UK’s fleet director Phil Hollins, “The results are testament to the hard work of our design and engineering teams based at Dunton in the UK, who continue to deliver class-leading products of the utmost quality.”
