Ford to develop even lighter vehicles
The Ford Motor Company is continually researching ways to make Ford cars for sale the most fuel efficient and economic. The motoring giants have just announced that they will be teaming up with Dow Chemical Company, in a bid to develop a new and cost effective way of incorporating carbon fibre into its vehicles.
Should a solution be found to the manufacturing process it would mean a reduction in vehicle weight, thus increasing the efficiency of Ford's cars and vans. The car manufacturers are very keen to market and develop their vehicles to be as efficient as possible, especially with the recent increases in fuel prices.
Not only will Ford's petrol and diesel vehicles benefit from fuel efficiency, the Ford range of Electric and hybrid vehicles will be able to increase their range on a single charge.
