Ford's Ranger pickup has been heralded as one of the main factors in the motoring company's brand increase during 2011 in regions as far away from Europe as Thailand. The Ford Motor Company saw its overall market share within the Asian country increase by an impressive 3.7%, making it the fastest expanding and growing car brand in Thailand during 2011.
The new Ford Ranger pickup was released in December and already the company's Thailand division have seen bookings of well over 5,400 units, with deliveries already taking place throughout.
It is expected that many of Ford's new global models, such as its new Ford vans, trucks and cars will give a similar response once they are released throughout 2012 and beyond. The recently announced new Ford Transit van could certainly be a deciding factor on the company's success within Thailand's commercial van market.
