Ford Ranger named 4X4 Magazine Pick Up of the Year
The Ford Motor Company has been at the top of the automotive industry for over 100 years, growing in reputation and status since being founded by the great Henry Ford back in 1903. Their overwhelming success across the world is partly down to their flagship models, with the agile and nippy Fiesta supermini and the reliability of the Transit van driving away in the lead of their respected fields.
Representative across the four corners of the world, one of the shining stars for the Ford Motor Company in America and more recently the Ford car dealers in the UK is the Ford Ranger, a reliable 4X4 powerhouse that has been helping drivers successfully navigate treacherous paths ever since it first rolled off the production line back in 1983. The iconic pick-up truck has picked up a cabinet of awards during its history, the clearest example of why the vehicle is so highly regarded.
It has once again been on the receiving end of an award, with the vehicle being named as the 4x4 Magazine Pick Up of the Year 2013. The accolade means it has been a record breaking 12 months for the Ford Ranger, taking home an incredible seven different awards during 2012. Facing a series of stringent tests in what was the most comprehensive pick-up test ever conducted by the magazine; the Ford Ranger emerged victorious from a group of seven vehicles to take home the prize. Just some of the attributes the Ranger was praised for was its outstanding performance on and off the road, its strong engine and great towing capabilities.
With the 4X4 market in the UK increasing by around 25% since 2009, it could lead towards even greater sales of the Ford Ranger on our shores. It is a fine example of the outstanding vehicles which are available at used Ford car dealers across the country.
