FORD PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPS ECO FRIENDLY FOAM FOR ITS VANS AND CARS
The Ford Motor Company is continually working towards developing more eco friendly parts and products for its vans and cars. They have been talking about their various partnerships such as working with the United Soybean Board (USB), with plans afoot to not only develop and introduce eco-friendly materials to replace currently used items, but to also help improve the motoring giant's sustainability footprint.
At a recent workshop, Ford's Technical Leader in Plastics Research Deb Mielewski spoke about some of the current projects taking place between the two organisations. Once of which being the development of bio based foam, the likes of which could soon be manufactured and included in new Ford vans or cars such as Ford Transit vans.
Ford have been working with the USB for over 10 years and in that time many developed materials have been released and added to the manufacturing process of many Ford vans and cars, such as moulded plastic parts.
