Ford Invest $446 million in their Brazil Plant
The Ford Motor Company has just announced that it will be investing $446 million dollars in its Sao Bernardo do Campo plant in Brazil. It is thought the expansion is being sought to give the plant the means to produce a new Ford global model. Reports of what the new model will be have not surfaced as of yet, but many in the auto industry are commenting upon it being a successor to the Ford Ka.
Once expansion and investment is complete, the new vehicle could be launched along with production beginning at the end of 2013 or the beginning 2014. The new vehicle is part of the Ford Motor company's "One Ford" strategy, which is aiming to eventually give the company a global line up of vehicles.
