Ford Fiesta recognised in Women’s World Car award
Just days after being officially recognised as the UK’s best selling car in the month of September, one of the most successful Ford cars for sale ever has again been recognised by industry experts, this time in the Women’s World Car of the Year 2012 award.
Officials at the prize giving ceremony, which took place at the prestigious Paris Motor Show, confirmed that the Ford Fiesta had been voted the third best vehicle in the world by a panel of 20 female judges who hailed from a total of 11 countries.
Receiving this accolade is especially impressive when it is put into context; no less than 300 different models were considered for the award, which scrutinised both the exterior style and interior practical attributes of each of the cars included in the running.
Synonymous with every kind of Ford car dealership, the Fiesta has been widely regarded as being amongst the most reliable and rewarding mainstream vehicles to drive since it was first produced in 1976.
