Ford extends market lead


The Ford Motor Company have extended their market leadership, within the UK, according to new figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, SMTT.

The increase is the first in six months and is certainly great news for the motor manufactures, going to show how well renowned and trusted the Ford name has become, especially within the UK.

Ford cars for sale, sold though Ford car dealers, saw an increase of 3.6% during the first half of the year, with the car market as a whole increasing by 2.7% compared to 2011.  The Ford Fiesta was once again the UK's bestselling vehicle for the month of June and also the year to date.

The managing director of Ford Britain commented upon the news, saying how delighted he and the company where of this achievement; especially during a period where competition in the UK has become more and more intense.
