Ford enjoys positive sales during February

February was another fantastic month for Ford car sales, with the Fiesta once again remaining the best-selling model in the UK.

According to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the Fiesta remained at the top spot with 4,415 sales during the month. The Ford Focus, another of Ford's flagship models, also proved popular in the UK market and sold 2,566 units, finishing as the fourth best-seller above the VW Golf.

The great figures have also helped Ford in the year-to-date figures, and while the Ford Fiesta leads the way with 13,487 sales, the Focus remains in second place ahead of the Vauxhall Corsa.

UK sales continue to increase

As a whole, the UK has enjoyed 24 consecutive months of increasing new car sales, rising by three per cent to 68,376 during the month. With February traditionally a quieter month ahead of the registration plate change in March, it is hoped that this air of positivity can continue to grow during the months ahead.

With the latest Ford Fiesta also confirmed as the best-selling model in the UK throughout the whole of 2013, its overwhelming popularity speaks for itself. Having first hit the forecourts back in 1976, the Fiesta has become one of the most celebrated Fords, with over 16 million models sold across the world. Now into its sixth generation, its expert craftsmanship and wealth of technologies has helped the Fiesta become a renowned figure in the automotive world.

If you are looking for a new car which is reliable and equipped with the latest technology, why not come along to one of the certified Ford dealerships operated by the Foray Motor Group and learn more about either the Fiesta or Focus?
