Ford dealerships to reduce carbon footprints

With lowering carbon emissions being top on the agenda for most manufacturers in this day and age, more and more are developing new methods for production, with some even looking to their suppliers or marketers to follow the trend.

The Ford Motor Company in conjunction with100 of its dealers across the UK have announced a series of measures that will see its dealerships lower their carbon footprint by up to 10%.

The measures stem from Ford's second ever conference on Profitability and Technology, at which representatives from many Ford car dealerships were educated about the blue oval's work with the Carbon Trust.

Steps such as energy efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems will help reduce carbon footprints and also save money for the company in a relatively short period.

Just recently Ford announced that they had decreased the amount of water used in the production of their Ford cars for sale, once again setting the bar for other manufacturers.
