Ford Concentrate on Fuel Efficiency as Consumers Demands Change

As fuel prices continue to rise across the globe, consumers are demanding more efficient motors so that they can keep their fuel costs down. Ford has heard these demands and is concentrating on making its current models more fuel efficient, whilst developing new models that will cater to their traditional markets but with reduced fuel consumption.

Ford car dealers will be able to offer new versions of existing models and entirely new ranges, including the Fusion, Fiesta and Focus, in markets around the world, and whilst each still caters to the expectations of their target demographic, they're also moving towards lower running costs.

This is combined with Ford's new "platform" strategy, where all their models will be built from one base of parts, allowing quicker, cheaper production and fewer problems between different models when it comes to repairs and replacements.
