Ford car and van sales sharply rise during January

It’s been confirmed that Ford’s rate of European sales in January are up by 9.8 per cent, fantastic news which proves that the popularity of the blue oval is doing very little to falter.

According to official figures released by the Ford Motor Company, the marque sold 88,700 vehicles during the month, up nearly ten per cent on the previous month and numbers which outpace the 6.5 per cent at which the industry is growing as a whole. Ford said that January was the best sales month for the Kuga since its launch in 2008. One of the finest new Ford vehicles for sale on forecourts today, it has been a huge success across the market of 4x4s.

The news also helped Ford maintain its position as the second most popular vehicle brand on the continent, a status which is likely to be taken into account by those on the hunt for a new vehicle.  As a collective, Ford’s total market share rose to 7.7 per cent – it’s largest since 2012.

When speaking about the developments, vice president of marketing, sales and service for Ford Europe, said: “Our investment in new product and technologies is really paying off, and we will see much more to come on this front in what will be one of the busiest years ever for Ford in terms of new vehicle introductions in Europe.”

Ford Transit sales highest since 2008

Also great news was the huge growth in the sales of the Ford Transit; sales across the whole family of Transit vans are at the highest rate since January 2008. First released in 1965, the Ford Transit has been one of the most popular choices in the commercial sector for decades.
