Ford big winners at 2015 Fleet News Awards
The heralded cars of Ford have received further praise at this year’s Fleet News Awards, winning five accolades to provide its best haul for over half a decade.
Recognised as the most important awards in the fleet industry, the Fleet News Awards recognise the best companies and vehicles in the fleet business. With such acclaim, it’s clear to see becoming an award winner is a fantastic endorsement for any company. The news about the company’s successes was highlighted at a special awards ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House in front of over 1,600 people.
This is fantastic news for the brand, which highlights the incredible level of craftsmanship that the blue oval has become renowned for over the years. The all new Ford Mondeo and the Ford Focus were the biggest winners at the event; while the Focus took home the award for Best Low Medium car, the Mondeo was given the accolade for both New Company Car of the Year and Best Upper Medium Car.
Ford also wins Eco-Friendly Award
Ford also received a fantastic endorsement for its movement into renewable energy, having also taken home the award for Green Fleet Manufacturer of the Year. It celebrates the wealth of new and used Ford vehicles that boast eco-friendly credentials, a fine example being the Ford Focus Electric.
Stephen Briers, editor of Fleet News, said that Ford’s model range has no weaknesses, and from supermini to full-size people carrier, the vehicles offer something to meet the needs of every fleet department.
