Ford announces more news on its European SYNC system


The Ford Motor Company has been working with Nuance Communications in a bid to work on more intuitive in-car voice recognition. The two companies' have been working towards improving voice recognition so that it will one day be capable of understanding natural speech.

Nuance was one of the companies behind Ford's already developed in-car voice activation system, SYNC; alongside many of its other great applications such as its award winning Emergency Assistance system.

As well as announcing the partnerships drive towards natural speech recognition, news was also released about the European launch of the SYNC system. The European version will support initially UK English, EU French, EU Spanish, EU Portuguese, German, Italian, Turkish, Dutch and Russian.

So next time you buy one of the latest Ford cars for sale at your nearest Ford car dealers you could be experiencing Ford's exciting SYNC system much like North American car audiences have in recent years.
