At the recent Fleet van summit 2012, members of the van excellence scheme gathered together to not only celebrate their accreditation but also discuss new best practices.
The Van Excellence scheme is an industry-led initiative that has been set up to represent the interests of the van industry and, since its emergence, has introduced a code of practice. The benefits that members receive can range from increased safety for van drivers and other road users, an industry standard level of recognition for operations and even legal peace of mind on van fleets.
The Ford Motor Group are one of the most recent additions to the scheme with new Ford vans such as Ford Transit vans joining others within the motoring and commercial van industry.
Some of the members that joined Ford's commercial arm at the Fleet Summit included Sainsbury's, DHL and the central Ambulance Service.
