CV Show 2014 Will Feature Four New Fords
The annual commercial vehicle show is the number one event in the United Kingdom for sourcing and selling commercial vehicles. It attracts over 18,000 attendees, who have the opportunity to get the most comprehensive view of commercial vehicles in Britain. This year’s event will mark a highlight for Ford, as it provides the public with its first look at the new Ford Transit Courier before its official launch in June of this year, as well as featuring the entire range of vehicles that have been introduced over the last year and a half.
According to Dan Jones, Commercial Vehicle press officer for Ford, this will be the first time that all four of the vehicles will be appearing at a show together. “It is a busy time for Ford as there have been four product launches (Courier, Connect, Custom and Transit) in just 18 months. If you include the Fiesta and Ranger pick-up launches as well, it’s six in just two years.”
The newest in Ford’s line features a 1.0L EcoBoost petrol engine, though it is also available with a 1.5L or 1.6L diesel engine. It is being promoted as a “highly efficient compact van”, perfect for small businesses in urban settings.
