1.0-litre Ford Diddy Outpaces an Enzo at the Nürburgring
If you thought small-engined vehicles were not very exciting, think again, as a unique Ford has recently taken to the legendary Nürburgring track in Germany and showed off its supercar-beating performance.
The car is a tiny Formula Ford race car which is powered by Ford's tiny 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, the very same engine you will find in the new Ford Focus and Fiesta. It managed to clock a time of 7 minutes, 22 seconds around this notorious race track, which is faster than many of the top Italian supercars.
Although the Ford Diddy is not a production car, so you won't find it in any of the Ford car dealerships in the UK, it just exemplifies the amazing engineering, reliability, performance and ultimately the economy which comes from Ford's new 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine.
So, anyone looking at new Ford cars for sale can rest assured that when they drive any of the small cars in the Ford range, they will be driving a world-class car which uses cutting edge technology.
