Ford continue UK car market lead
A new investment for the development of low carbon transport technologies has been announced today, with funds coming from both the private sector, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles and the Technology Strategy Board.
The new investment will help to finance seventeen differing projects by an array of motor Manufacturers including the Ford Motor Company. The £56 million fund will help today's engineers design tomorrow's vehicles, with many companies coming together to work on projects, such as complete EV systems and other forms of low carbon emission transit.
Ford is certainly not a stranger to the world of hybrid and electric powered vehicles; one of its Ford cars for sale, the Focus Electric model, is currently available in America. Introduced in 2011 the vehicle is a sure sign of car designs in the future, both by emission levels and performance on the road.
