In a financial climate where many industries are suffering badly, the UK Van market is standing its ground, according to figures released by the SMMT (society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders).
The figures show that during June the market saw 25,864 new van registrations within the UK, taking the year on year figures up by 2.6%. Many leading figures within the van and truck industry have predicted that the market is set to continue at a slow pace for the rest of the year.
With more and more new van models set to be released later in the year, such as the new Ford Tourneo Custom, sales could well climb again, with many people waiting to invest or replace vehicles until the latest point possible, hoping to pick up any promotional offers available.
