One of the most popular new Ford vans has been in action over the weekend at one of the countries top motoring events, the 2012 Cholmondeley Pageant of Power; as visitors to the show got to see the unique Ford Transit SuperSportVan in action.
The van is based upon Ford's flagship commercial vehicle the Transit van and has some hidden extras both inside and under the bonnet. The SuperSportVan was created by Ford to be the centrepiece of the 2011 Commercial Vehicle Show and since then has been a hit at many motoring shows not only across the UK, but the world as well.
Under the bonnet you can find a five-cylinder 3.2-litre, 200PS Duratorq TDCi engine. The engine is normally reserved for larger versions of the transit and delivers a shocking 70Nm at 1700-2500 rpm.
The vehicle is also a showcase for technologies and advancements made by Ford's commercial engineers and designers over the years including, power deadlocks, rain sensing wipers, and Ford's load area protection kit.
