Research carried out by Tesco Bank has shown just how much the traditional stereotype of the White Van Man has changed over the years and highlighted how it has become outdated. The supermarket chain released the report to coincide with the launch of their new van insurance policy and it sheds light on just how out of touch we have become about the White Van Man.
The research was carried out and conducted with the help of 1000 workers who use commercial vans for their business, such as Ford Transit vans or other new Ford vans.
Amongst the findings the following points proved just how the driver's stereotype image has changed in recent years, here are just a few! :-
70% of van drivers questioned have never shouted at or even had an altercation with another driver whilst on the road in their van.
Almost three quarter of the 1000 van drivers said that they took great pride in their vehicle, with many boasting of never scratching or denting their van.
White still remains to be the most popular colour when purchasing a new commercial vehicle, with 30% of those interviewed admitting to it being their number one colour.
