The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) have released the official figures for commercial vehicle sales throughout the month of September, and they have shown that the market is beginning to stabilise despite facing difficult prevailing economic conditions.
Sales of professional models such as Ford Transit vans were, in total, up by 1.1 per cent compared with the previous month, with 39,060 units being shifted overall.
Discussing the results, SMMT Chief Executive Paul Everitt noted that September's registration plate change helped to give the industry the boost that it needed in order for sales to be significantly pushed up, bringing a feeling of stability to what has been a somewhat volatile landscape of late.
The importance of commercial vehicles in terms of running a successful operation is now recognised by fleet owners and business operators all over the UK, with the wide range of vans in Dorset currently available providing professionals with their ideal form of transport.
