October car registrations up in the UK

Figures just released have shown a welcome rise in registration numbers for last month (October). Numbers rose by 2.6 percent to 134,944 individual units, something that motoring industry watchers will know to be the second registration increase in the past 3 months.

Not only are private buyers responsible for the upward trend in numbers; car fleet sales have been increasing over the year, with a 7.9 percent increase during October and a 4.4 percent overall increase over the first ten months of the year.

The figures were posted by the SMTT (The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) and are being heralded as a very good sign for motor dealerships such as Ford car dealers around the country.
