New RS Cosworth wins rave reviews in article

The Ford Focus RS Cosworth has fallen to great acclaim in an article from Auto Express, which labelled it as one of the Most Wanted Cars right now.

Flying the flag for the Cosworth livery, the article – which can be read by clicking here offers a series of pictures of how the vehicle could look when it’s unveiled later this year.

The Focus RS has been one of the most popular new Ford models since first opening back in 2002, and its supreme level of power made it the perfect replacement for the highly acclaimed Ford Escort Cosworth. As it is common knowledge that Ford are currently working on a Cosworth, it is sure to be very much sought after once it reaches forecourts in the UK. The Escort Cosworth is still among the most popular Ford models in history, offering all the qualities of an everyday road car but offering a lethal injection of power in an instant.

As well as the wider body kit, one of the aspects that sets the Cosworth apart from the standard Focus models is the inclusion of two spoilers – one located above the rear window and the other just below. Another important addition is the Cosworth badge.

Could the Cosworth offer 400bhp?

In terms of the power source, it is likely that the RS Cosworth will feature a 2.3L EcoBoost with some tuning from Cosworth before being placed under the bonnet. With the standard RS sporting an engine capacity of 350bhp, the Cosworth is being tipped to hit close to 400bhp – offering plenty of excitement under foot for the driver.
