New Ford Edge prices revealed in the UK

After impressively debuting in 2015, the new Ford Edge SUV will this year be available in the UK with top-of-the-range models costing over £36,000.

The new Ford Edge has been available in the USA, but now the highly acclaimed model is coming to the UK and will be part of an SUV line-up that includes the Kuga and Ecosport, which are already available in Ford dealerships selling new and used cars in Wiltshire and the rest of the UK.

Prices for the Ford Edge model have officially been released and start from £29,995 with experts stating that the SUV is set to be more spacious and offer better value for money than its competitors.

A closer look at the Edge

The Ford Edge will offer drivers a 178bhp 2-litre TDCi diesel engine as well as boasting Ford’s all-wheel drive system.

If that’s not enough, then Auto Express says that the touchscreen with DAB radio, Active Noise Cancellation, and heated and cooled front seats are all unique features that customers can benefit from.

Upgrades in the SUV are also available with the Titanium spec Ford Edge costing £32,245 and the Ford Edge Sport costing £34,495.

Some of the Ford Edge’s best features are its safety features. It boasts a Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection. By using radar and cameras, the SUV can apply its brakes automatically if a potential collision is detected and the driver has not responded to the impending danger.

Another clever feature of the UK model of the Ford Edge is the Front Wide View Camera, which helps the driver park in tight spaces and when they are at a junction that has restricted visibility.

According to an article by Auto Trader, new Ford Edge cars will be available in car dealers in Dorset and other areas in the UK from the summer onwards.
