A van that inspired the miniature car range by Corgi is set to be auctioned with it being valued at up to £7000.
The van, a Ford Model 8, will be a familiar to avid collectors of Corgi van and car collectors and is the most famous vintage van in the whole country due to its reproduction within the toy world back in 1986.
The vehicle was bought by Clive Pearson Carpets and, just two years later, had attracted the attention of Corgi who asked if they could make a replica of it, complete with the sign writing at the sides.
The van will go up for grabs on Saturday October 27th at D T Mathewson's Museum in Thornton Le Dale, even though it is not as advanced as the new Ford vans you will see for sale these days such as Ford Transit vans, it is expected to reach over £7000 due to its famous history.
