With the Ford Transit Connect becoming more and more popular across the world, it is of no surprise that it is currently being redesigned and developed to be even handier for businesses and individuals.
New spy shots have just captured a prototype of the vehicle with many within the motoring world commenting upon its front end and its similarity with the Ford Fiesta. The new Ford vans' headlights and grille designs are borrowed quite considerably from the already popular Fiesta model, giving them a more modern and sleeker look.
The van that was spotted also had a large piece of its functionality revised: its tailgate. Gone is the side hinged tailgate of the current model and in is a one piece roof hinged design. If this makes it into the design of the new Connect it is expected that the original tailgate will be available too.
The newly designed Transit vans are expected to be released as 2014 models in both North America and Europe, great news for van drivers across the world.
