Ford nominated for host of 2013 Fleet News Awards
The consistently high quality of the vehicles available from Ford car dealership sites around the UK has once again been acknowledged by a leading industry body, with the announcement that the manufacturer has been nominated for a host of awards at the annual Fleet News ceremony in London.
The 2013 instalment of the awards event, which this year is taking place for the 25th time, will be held at the luxurious Grovesnor House Hotel in the capital on March 20th, and could see Ford come away with as many as eight prizes, as the company has been recognised in a wide variety of categories.
Unsurprisingly, the UK's most popular car in terms of sales, the Ford Fiesta, has been included in the list of nominees, named as in the running in both the 'Best small car' and 'New company car of the year' fields. This latter nomination is a demonstration of the fact that, although the Fleet Awards are primarily concerned with business transport, they are also a true reflection of the more general car sales landscape.
Ford's other nominations include for the Focus ('Best lower medium car'), Mondeo ('Best upper medium car'), and three models in the 'Best full size people carrier category', with the Grand C-Max, Galaxy and S-Max vehicles all in with a chance. Elsewhere, the Ford Motor Company as a whole has been given a nod in the 'Green fleet manufacturer', 'Most improved fleet manufacturer' and prestigious 'Fleet manufacturer of the year' fields.
The breadth and sheer number of nominations which the Michigan-based group have received from yet another awards ceremony judging panel adds further weight to the opinion that the automotive manufacturers are one of the best in the UK in terms of both value and performance, and observers will be expecting them to leave with at least some prizes. Some fantastic deals can be found at new and used Ford car dealers alike across the country, and this is sure to continue to be the case for many years to come.
