Ford are celebrating another world first for a car maker, getting 1 million + fans on Google's social media network.
Google+ was released just over one year ago, with the Ford Motor Company being one of the first to fully utilise the social media tool to its maximum. Many within the technology industry commented upon Ford's decisive approach to the tool, after they introduced a campaign just one week after launch. Back in July 2011 the campaign gave participants the chance to win a copy of the racing game, Dirt, by simply voting for their favourite Ford influenced photo.
Since then, Ford has used social media websites and tools to their advantage, creating many great campaigns and award winning online advertising projects, giving users a chance to interact and be a part of the projects rather than just viewers.
With the new Ford vans the Ford Transit van Custom and Tourneo being released later in the year you can expect plenty more online and social interactions by the Ford Motor Company, so keep your eyes peeled!
