Ford cars scoop honours at UK Car of the Year awards
Ford have been toasting the success of their cars after more of their models picked up accolades at the UK Car of the Year awards for the third year in a row.
Ford car sales in Yeovil and across other Ford dealerships prove that the car manufacturer’s models are a popular choice and now this has been backed up by the Ford Mustang and Ford S-MAX scooping up awards.
The UK Car of the Year awards are decided by a panel of 27 British motoring journalists that cover national newspapers, websites, magazines and TV.
The Ford S-Max won the Multi-Purpose Vehicle of the Year Award and the model’s style and practicality was pointed out as being some great features of the car.
Speaking to the Ford Motor Company Media Center, Tom Ford from Top Gear magazine, said, “The S-MAX is an MPV that doesn’t drive like one. And yet it takes seven people with ease. Plus it comes loaded with all the best convenience options. As an all-rounder for families, it’s hard to beat.”
Ford Mustang named Coupe of the Year
The Ford Mustang picked up the Coupe of the Year award as it impressed judges with its fun factor, value for money and performance.
Tim Pollard from CAR magazine praised the Ford Mustang’s, “exceptional value, amazing bangs for your buck and sheer drama of the thing”.
These latest successes have continued Ford’s successful history at these awards as Ford cars have been featured at the UK Car of the Year Awards since the ceremony was launched in 2014, with the Ford Fiesta ST and Ford Mondeo previously picking up different gongs.
The Ford S-MAX, Fiesta, Mondeo and other award-winning Ford cars are for sale in Salisbury and at other Ford dealerships across the country, and the news that Ford models have received more recognition at the UK Car of the Year awards is expected to increase more interest in the models.
