Time is running out for businesses to be considered as a potential winner in the yearly Management of Occupational Road Risk (MORR) Awards. The ceremony is included as part of the wider Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents' (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards, and gives fleet owners the opportunity to prove their dedication towards further lowering instances of traffic related collisions and injuries.
This year's entrants will all be looking to challenge the recent supremacy of the supermarket delivery fleet Tesco Dotcom, who have impressively come away with the main MORR trophy in each of the last four years, with judges last year praising the introduction of the company's own driver training initiative.
This award is seen as a strong indicator of the high levels of professionalism and commitment to safety of the winning fleet, and the road skills shown by their Transit van drivers, so fleet operators are being urged to submit their entries before the deadline of December 3rd.
