Black is the new white – but blue is tops with Fiesta buyers
Black is the new white for car colours, according to the latest statistics from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
While white was the favourite colour among UK car buyers during 2016, black moved up to replace it with grey, a popular colour on the sporting Ford Focus ST, coming second and white slipping to third.
Blue was the only primary colour to make the top 5, no doubt helped to its placing by Ford Fiesta and Focus customers, a bright bunch who favoured blue rather than anything else. With blue at four, silver popped up in fifth place with red, green, orange, bronze, and yellow, all strong in the Ford colour palette, making up the rest of the top 10.
