The Ford Transit van has just been featured on the BBC's News in Pictures section of its website, with 12 images depicting the van and its history and famous connections over the years.
The first image shows five generations of the Transit van ranging from a 1960's version right the way along to a 00's version, showing just how it has changed and developed over the years. The second image gives viewers a glimpse at the upcoming Transit Custom that will be available alongside other new Ford vans later this year.
Other historical pictures include the 100,000th Transit van ever made on the production line at Ford's Langley factory back in 1968, another photo taken four years later shows the millionth van alongside workers at Ford's Southampton factory.
Even some famous faces have been owners or travelled in the popular commercial vehicle, amongst the photos are well known celebrities such as the Muhammed Ali and Henry Cooper.
