Awards Continue for Top-Selling Fiesta
The Ford Fiesta has continued its dominance of the small car segment, where it remains the top-selling car in the UK, by being named best supermini of 2010 by Auto Express.
"Bold looks, a striking cabin and hugely entertaining driving dynamics see the blue oval baby retain its crown. The eye-catching styling still turns heads, while the fun and functional cabin delivers decent space for people and luggage," said Auto Express of the top selling Ford Fiesta.
The Fiesta has also been declared best supermini by the team at Business Car Manager.
The Business Car Manager awards assess cars for business-relevant criteria such as durability, running costs, company car taxation and residual values. Business Car Manager is a website that provides specialist information and examples of best practices in the operation of fleet cars.
Ralph Morton, editor, Business Car Manager, which also named the Ford S-MAX as best people carrier, said: "These two Ford models thoroughly deserve these awards after meeting our stringent selection criteria. They don't cost the earth to run and hang on to a lot of their value - they are ultimately very desirable."
Tom Croft, Foray Motor Group's sales manager, said: "Our experience shows that Ford's best-ever car range appeals to a wide spectrum of customers, including the demanding business sector, and we are thrilled that the popularity of our cars continues to result in winning awards. Even better, it brings us many satisfied buyers who go on to build long-term relationships with our sales and service teams."
