Positive sales figures revealed for Ford's green cars
It has been revealed that Ford car dealers across the UK have enjoyed a positive start to sales of their electric and hybrid vehicles since they were introduced, raising hopes that the manufacturer will continue to enjoy increased success in this field next year.
Official figures of Ford's recent sales of plug-in and other such efficient vehicles have revealed highly encouraging figures for the groundbreaking C-MAX Energi model, with 1,403 units sold nationwide in what was its first full month of availability. There were also positive figures for the Ford Focus Electric, with November officially becoming its most successful month yet.
These results are a reflection of Ford's increased recent commitment towards producing affordable yet high performance and environmentally friendly vehicles, marking the company out as a rising star of the low carbon transport industry.
It is not just the super efficient editions of Ford cars which reportedly sold well over November either; official figures show that transactions of the C-MAX in general took place at an encouraging rate, further demonstrating Ford's ability to win over the car buying public, even in an enduringly difficult economic climate.
The C-MAX Hybrid was the most popular edition of this car to be sold, accounting for almost exactly three quarters of all its sales. This shows that the Hybrid is increasing in popularity at a rapid rate, as in October the same figure was at 56 per cent.
Both new and used Ford car dealers stock a wide variety of vehicles which offer the driver high levels of fuel efficiency, however, with excellent economy returns now synonymous with the Michigan-based manufacturer. This, indeed, is one of the main reasons why the Ford Fiesta has remained at the top of the UK's best selling domestic car charts for so many months in succession.
