Images from the European Patent Office have given eager future customers a first glimpse at what the new Ford Transit Connect model will look like.

Set to go on general sale in 2013, the company's latest van seems to have a more car-like face than its predecessors, with a rising belt-line and sharp character line also giving it a sportier feel.

In terms of load space, the cargo area of the new Transit Connect retains much of the same character as previous incarnations, although more slender taillights give the model a stylish edge.

It is expected that the 2013 Connect will be made as both a passenger and utility van, giving it a broad appeal for fleet managers and other consumers.

Whilst the next generation of Ford Transit Connect vehicles will not be available until next year, you can still find a great selection of new Ford vans in Foray Commercial's several South West showrooms.
