New Fiesta ST wins 22 awards in first 12 months of release
The new version of the Ford Fiesta ST is celebrating a fantastic 12 months of sales, a period in which it won a staggering 22 different awards to earn a stellar reputation within the hot-hatch class.
A model that first reached Ford dealerships in the UK back in 2004, the ST is billed as the angrier and high performing version of the conventional Fiesta, equipped with a powerful 2.0L engine which results in an incredible top speed of 129mph.
With the iconic badging stamped onto the most recent incarnation back in 2013, the current ST is now the most successful performance subcompact that Ford has ever produced in terms of awards; Top Gear's 2014 Car of the Year, Best Hot Hatch by Auto Express and the No.1 Hot Hatch from the Sunday Times are among the 22 accolades the model has earned over the last 12 months.
While the car itself has been met with huge praise, Ford as a whole also celebrated winning Dynamics Team of the Year - highlighting the fantastic craftsmanship that the marque implements into the Fiesta ST and the many other models in its fleet.
Offering great value for money
One aspect that has helped the ST prove so popular is the fantastic value for money it presents, offering high performance and power despite a minimum price of just above £17,000! This is one of the reasons why it has become the model of choice in the hot-hatch category, one which includes the Peugeot 208 GTI, Renault Clio 200 and the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
If you are on the hunt for a new Ford vehicle and like the look of the Fiesta ST, why not head to a dealership operated by Foray Motor Group and discover why this car has received so many awards for yourself?
