Ford’s centenary ends with great success

During 2011, the Ford Motor Company's British sector celebrated its centenary year and also recognised 80 years of auto production at its largest UK plant in Dagenham. Throughout the year, many different events have taken place including a tour of classic Ford cars and vans to many of its dealerships across the country.

With the year having just ended, the company has plenty more to report from over the year regarding its figures and popularity. One of the largest announcements has been that the company's top selling car range made up for 15% of the total British auto market.

Information released by the SMTT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) has shown just how, during 2011, the Ford motor company have prevailed over any financial problems the UK has been seeing.   The Ford Fiesta was, for the third successive year, recognised as the UK's best selling car.
