Ford Introduces Transit Centres
In the latest example of the many ways that Ford provides exemplary service and value to their commercial vehicle customers, the company has announced the opening of 100 “Transit Centres” to be located all across the UK. The centres, which will include showrooms, are designed to offer reduced costs to owners and significant reductions in the time required to keep the vehicles on the road, an issue of major importance to commercial fleet owners and managers.
The centres are all part of Ford’s new Transit24 program, which was announced in February. Centres will be open late and will each be staffed by a full time of Ford sales and service professionals so that all Ford Transit customers’ needs can be met quickly, easily and efficiently.
Appointments at the centres will be able to be made online through the Epyx 1Link program, which will enable customers to book appointments for while-you-wait service at the hours that are most convenient for them. Turnaround time on appointment requests made online will be twenty minutes for confirmation, and for those clients requiring it, pick up and drop off will be available. The vehicles will also be completely washed after each visit.
The sites are all expected to be completely upgraded to the Transit24 standard as of the end of 2014, though many are already up and running.
