Ecoboost awarded Engine of the year award
One of the largest motoring blogs, Autoblog, has just awarded Ford's EcoBoost engine their Engine of the Year award for 2012. This is just the latest award and accolade the engine has been given since the innovative tiny three cylinder has been on sale.
The motoring website, owned by online giants AOL, has praised the EcoBoost engine, even going so far as to say that in comparison to other engines with the same power, it is vastly superior. The engine is available in a small selection of vehicles, with the most popular being the recently released Ford Focus; a car that has gone on to be one of 2012's most popular Ford cars for sale.
Ford has already announced that in 2013 the EcoBoost engine will be available in the Ford fiesta, which will certainly become popular at Ford car dealers, with the 125bhp enhancing the fiesta even further as a supermini.
